BioThis year I realized that it was high time to make room in my life for things that speak to my soul. A kind of "soul food" if you will. I stumbled upon Ashtanga yoga and two wonderful teachers as if directed by a guardian angel or two. Lucky me... As 2007 wound down, I found myself drawn to new projects, people, and experiences as if directed by some sort of flawless inner-compass, towards things that make my heart melt, sing, stop, stir with compassion, shudder with fear, and more. The wonder for me is that I appreciate all of these things, having spent too many years with the courage for only muted emotions and cautious enterprises. I sense a marvelous opening of my heart this year and rejoice at the heaving seeds of gratitude for life that have found loamy soil in the center of my once shriveled heart. Good to be alive is my theme for the new year.
